Meet Jason Hanold
Jason Hanold is a distinguished executive in the field of human resources and executive search. He is the CEO and co-managing partner of Hanold Associates, a retained executive search firm specializing in HR and Diversity & Inclusion leaders, as well as diverse boards of directors. Based in Chicago, Hanold and his team have served a large network of notable clients, including American Airlines, the New York Times Company, Google, the NFL, Zoom, Moderna, and many other prominent brands.
Hanold began his career in 1990 as an HR and corporate recruiting business partner at State Farm. He then moved to Deloitte as Americas Director of Executive Leadership Recruiting, followed by roles at McKinsey & Company, Whirlpool Corporation, and Russell Reynolds Associates. In each of these positions, he made significant contributions, particularly in executive leadership recruiting and talent acquisition.
In 2010, Hanold founded Hanold Associates Executive Search. Under his leadership, the firm has gained a reputation for effectively streamlining the recruitment process for high-level positions across various industries. Hanold Associates has worked with diverse clients such as the NFL, MLB, Gucci, Nike, Amazon, Ford Motor Company, and many others.
Apart from his professional accomplishments, Hanold is dedicated to lifelong learning. He holds a bachelor's degree from Illinois State University and a master's degree in leadership and organizational culture from Northwestern University. In 2021, he earned his Ed.D. with a focus on organizational leadership, learning, and talent from the University of Pennsylvania.
Hanold is actively involved in various organizations. He serves on the Leadership Council of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, the National Advisory Council for Big City Mountaineers, and as a Team USA Athlete Mentor with the U.S. Olympic Committee. He also holds lifetime memberships with the Association of Talent Acquisition Professionals, the Sierra Club, and the United States Polo Association, and is a member of the NAACP and SAG-AFTRA.
In his personal life, Hanold resides in Kenilworth, Illinois, and Jackson, Wyoming, with his wife, Neela Seenandan, and their four sons. He is passionate about outdoor activities, mountaineering, and team sports, especially football
